#26: Creative Destruction Lab

As you know, The SMART Tire Company is both a space exploration AND terrestrial tire company. In fitting with this theme, we are proud to announce that STC will be participating in the Global Space track of the preeminent hardware accelerator worldwide: Creative Destruction Lab. Think of CDL as the Y-Combinator of hardware, with a global focus and world class mentors and networking opportunities. Joining the 2023/24 cohort is a great opportunity to both grow our opportunities in the space industry, and ensure a smooth launch of our entire line of hardware (tire) products.

CDL Space is an international program based out of four CDL locations (Atlanta, Oxford, Paris, and Toronto) designed to support both space and Earth-based technology. The program brings together astronauts, entrepreneurs, investors, and scientists from fields related to space exploration and transportation, satellite communications, Earth observation, automation, and robotics.

Previous CDL companies have built over $28B worth of value and include recent breakthrough successes such as Lunar Outpost ($12M Series A, rovers headed to the moon).

The list of mentors for this program is truly awe-inspiring, ranging from experienced astronaut Chris Hadfield to the CEO of the XPrize, industry players such as Airbus, a large collection of space-focused VCs, Universities, European Space Industry and more!

STC will be kicking off the program next month in Atlanta, GA with future events based out of Paris and Oxford. We look forward to bringing "space tires" to both public and private space projects worldwide in 2024!!
