#24: All Good Under the Hood

The SMART Tire Company was invited to the The 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed 🇬🇧 and it was a remarkable experience seeing the classics and the latest motorsports and car design innovations from around the world!! Not only were we featured in the popular "Future Lab" section of the festival, but we also received great curiosity and big excitement from the local UK audience, racing teams, and automotive industry executives like Peter Rawlinson, CEO of Lucid Motors. We even got a visit from European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut, Tim Peake (185 days in space), who was wowed by our tire technologies for NASA's Artemis program and the future of mobility.

It was fun checking out our fellow Goodwood exhibitors Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, Rolls-Royce, James Webb Telescope, Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team, Tesla, BMW, Pirelli, Pagani, Red Bull Racing & Technology, Hyundai, McLaren Racing, Aston Martin, Ford, Ferrari, Lotus, and many other top-tier brands. A lot of people noticed us zipping around the festival on our e-scooter fitted with our latest, smooth airless tires SMART-ly made with shape memory alloys! 🛴

One of the key things we were reminded of from being at this event, with so many spectacular and luxurious vehicles around (over $250M worth), is that they ALL still need great TIRES in order to be complete!! We look forward to returning to the Goodwood estate next year, and will definitely bring a few more "special" surprises as we prepare for our market launch, soon. 🚀
